I have this beautiful heart shaped cabochon of Wild Horse Magnesite wrapped in a simple oxidized copper style wrap. Wild Horse Magnesite is a natural gemstone found near Bisbee, AZ. “Wild Horse” magnesite is a marketing name. The colors are predominantly a luscious chocolate brown, deep red/brown, rust reds with white plumes. This material is similar in hardness and texture to turquoise. Sometimes called Wild Horse Turquoise (though incorrect) because it is mined in the same area as Turquoise. Wild Horse Magnesite is a calming and soothing stone that is believed to be a powerful emotional balancer. It is said to be especially helpful to those under extreme stress and/or who are unable to release control. Wild Horse promotes joy and emotional harmony.
