This cabochon of Michigan Copper has flects of copper within the Epidote matrix. The Epidote Copper Mine is in Keweenaw, Michigan. Historically the site has been associated with the Keweenaw Copper Mining District which is now part of the Isle Royale Wilderness. Copper is one of the most famous and useful metals, and has been important since ancient civilizations for ornaments and coinage. Its complex crystals can be beautifully formed in odd and unique masterpieces that are treasured by collectors. I have it set in raw copper wire to create this bracelet, it's oxidized with liver of sulpher then waxed with renaissance wax. It features and easy close clasp.
