This gorgeous cabochon of Azurite is a midnight blue with slight patterns of pale blue. Unsure of the mine it originated from. Azurite is an intense deep blue color. It often occurs with malachite, chrysocolla or turquoise in areas with copper deposits. Azurite is an azure blue copper mineral, it is occasionally found as prismatic crystals, but is rarely ever faceted. More often it is found in massive form inter-grown with Malachite as a result of the weathering and oxidation of copper sulfide minerals.
