This unique cabochon of Apache Gold is all wrapped up in 14K Gold Fill Wire. Apache Gold is a combination of gold Chalcopyrite (also known as Fool’s Gold) and black Schist. Much of this material is known to have come from the area of the copper mines once worked in Jerome, Arizona. Chalcopyrite has been referred to as Fool's Gold because it is such a bright gold color and the black in this material is dark black, creating quite a striking contrast.
