This cabochon of Allunite is color enhanced to a rich magenta color by a company in Tempe, AZ. This is part of their “Truestone” collection. The material is mined in La Paz, Arizona. It is a hydrated aluminum potassium sulphate mineral, historically mined as a source of aluminum. I have created this copper bracelet setting for it. It raw copper that I have oxidized with liver of sulpher, then polished with renaissance wax. The bracelet features an easy close clasp.
